My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Molly's adoption fee is $350.

Our dear little Molly has a huge personality, wrapped up in a small 6 lb. package. She is 7 years of age, spayed, up to date with vaccines and micro chipped. Molly has epilepsy; she doesn’t have seizures very often - about 5 a year. She is on anti-seizure medication twice daily that costs about $10 a month, and needs her blood checked every 3 months or so to ensure that her medication levels are in the acceptable range.

Molly gets along fine with other dogs - she usually ignores them, not really wanting to play much at all. She loves to cuddle and be outside on the nice days. Molly is house trained, but does have occasional accidents if her cues are missed.

She can be vocal at times to try to get her own way with her humans (that big personality of hers!), so we would not recommend apartment or condo living for her. She also needs a securely fenced yard, as she doesn't pee or poop while on leash. She loves to wander in the yard and do her thing when she’s ready. She would be best suited to a quieter home without small children, and where someone is home most of the time. Her balance is not the best, as is common with her neurological condition, and she will have little nervous ticks occur during the day or while asleep.

She may bark at a visitor, but will soon settle, and needs a little time to warm up to new people. Molly eats twice a day, and has her medication in a piece of cheese, which she will wait for before she eats. She is quite the character and does have her quirks, but would be a loving cuddle companion for the right person with the patience and love to give this special little girl.
