My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Check out ALL of our listings at this link!!
This young lady is brought to you by the letter "S": Sweet, sociable, silly, smart and sensational!!! Susie is an absolute sweetheart who was rescued on her last day from a high kill shelter, and that also makes her story a little sad because whatever happened to her in the past has also left Susie a little skittish in some circumstances. Susie is generally a very happy, very friendly and very affectionate little girl who LOVES playing with anyone who will have her!! Be sure you love terriers because she has just enough curiosity to make a very charming and clever companion, guaranteed to make any terrier lover smile! She LOVES her tummy rubbed and will flip over if there is the slightest chance of getting one. She walks well on a leash and she loves car rides, so she'll be a great companion to take anywhere you go. But sometimes Susie seems startled by sudden strange noises -- fireworks, loud voices, banging. She'll startle easily if someone starts to pet her without her actually seeing them come towards her first. And she freaks in a crate, as though she may have been left in one far too long and far too often. Her foster mom is working with her to retrain her to the crate, leaving her for a few hours at a time with a tasty treat, and she's getting better. Although Susie is housetrained, she also has separation anxiety so crating is a way of keeping her (and the environment) safe while her people are away. Because of this, Susie will need a loving, patient, and experienced home who can continue to reassure her that her new life has begun and that it will keep getting better. (She's been fine with visiting children but she will be best in a quiet all-adult home.) We know Susie is all too happy to put her past behind her as well. Susie is about 2 years old, she weighs 20 pounds and she is a healthy girl. If you have the patience and love in your heart to help this girl live life to the fullest, please visit www.pinkshelter.com for more information about the adoption process or click here for our online application. Full vetting AND spay included in her $300 adoption fee. Susie is in Arkansas and transport fee is additional $140. IF YOU HAVE AOL or YAHOO PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM FILE FOR OUR RESPONSE.
