DeeDee's Story...
DeeDee is a sweet, friendly and lovable, two-year-old, five-pound, female, black mini-Rex rabbit looking for a loving guardian.

DeeDee loves being held and getting a lot of attention. She is great with bunny friendly cats and dogs. She also has some bunny friends in her foster home – her best friend is Coconut, a huge laid back male California rabbit.

Dee Dee is litter box trained, and loves to play with baby keys and run through tunnels!

DeeDee eats a healthy diet of Timothy hay and greens (Romaine, red and green-leaf lettuce, cilantro). If you’d like to read up on rabbits and their care, please check out: http://www.rabbit.org/

DeeDee’s adoption fee of $75 benefits the rescued pets of Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control. Her entire set up including exercise pen, water bowl, litter and Timothy hay, is available for an additional $100. To meet and possibly adopt her please contact me directly at sheri@petraits.com or 773-777-2891. She has been spayed, micro-chipped and vet-checked.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

DeeDee, a Chicago Mini Rex was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mini Rex for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Mini Rex from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mini Rex breeders who help with Mini Rex rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
