Bree is a sweet three year old Shih Tzu who weighs about 14 pounds. She has luxurious black and white hair and beautiful brown eyes that look longingly at you, asking for some love. Bree apparently was not loved by her previous owners, because they dumped her out of their moving car on a busy street and drove away. But that turned out to be Bree’s lucky day, because she was immediately rescued and is now getting lots of love, attention and security while living with her foster mom and foster sibling. Her next family will love her and she will live with them forever.
Bree is a calm, sweet girl with a gentle disposition, although she will bark a greeting if she sees people on bikes or other dogs across the street. She loves being with her foster mom, and sleeps the whole night snuggled up against her. In the morning she is excited to go for a walk and enjoys being outdoors. She is reliably housetrained and so far has not had an accident in her foster mom’s house. Bree will be a wonderful companion for someone who would like an affectionate dog; she loves attention and getting belly rubs. She doesn’t play much with toys, and is just happy to sit next to her person. She gets along well with her foster Shih Tzu sibling and would do well in a home with adults or a home with older, respectful children and perhaps another small dog, where someone would be home with her for much of the day. She enjoys walks, and because she is only three years old, we would like her to be adopted by a family who has the ability to give her the exercise a young dog needs.
Bree is healthy, spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $320.00 plus sales tax. Her foster mom would like her adopters to live within a reasonable driving distance of the Twin Cities and also encourage them to attend the Shih Tzu Rescue Reunion held in June every year.
