Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bonnie is currently undergoing Heartworm treatment, but please don't let that deter you from thinking of adopting her, soon she will be ready to provide you with a lifetime of love and kisses.
She got a health check and blood work that confirmed she was heart worm positive. She also has a large tumor which has come back as a fibrous tumor and needs to be removed right away. Bonnie stayed with some nice people for one night and they said she was great with their dog, cat and kids. She didn't potty in the apartment and slept with their son all night. He walked her the next morning and she did her business. So it looks like we have a house trained Lab/pit mix that is an all around great dog. She has a very calm nature about her. We need a foster or new home for Bonnie. All her medical needs will be taken care of to make her a healthy girl. She is around 2 to 3 years old so has a lot of years of love to give.
this is a sad story, for the sensitive do not read past this sentence...it will truly break your heart.
Bonnie was picked up on Buckner Blvd in Dallas. Her friend, a brindle Pit, was hit by a car and killed. Bonnie didn't want to leave him but her new friend Mimi managed to get her in the car and take her to the vet.
