MEET TWITCH -
Hi folks! TWITCH is my name and playing ball is my game. I am the best ball chaser and runner at the rescue! There is nothing I like better than being able to run around a fenced yard and play fetch or just run with the ball...except of course cuddling. I like to cuddle. Yep - running, playing and cuddling. Oh! One other thing I love is lying in my extra large crate filled with lots of blankets. Running, playing, cuddling and relaxing in my crate with blankets (warm blankets). TWITCH is a very well behaved, loyal and loving tweenie Dachshund. He is around 3.5 years old and weighs nearly 17 pounds. He gets along well with older kids (especially if they like to play ball with him) and other Dachshunds. He would do very well with a spayed female doxie. Are you ready for some enthusiastic doxie love in your house? TWITCH is ready for his forever family to come find him and let him love them. Would that family be yours?
OUR CRITERIA (aka The Fine Print):
Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have pretty strict criteria. Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time? Have a securely fenced yard? We do not place same gender dogs in a home unless they were raised together, and children need to be 10 or older (some exceptions IF the dog is a puppy or the child has been raised with a doxie). We prefer non smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc) Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog. Remember, these are rescues; many were surrendered because of these issues.
WHAT YOU GET IN RETURN WITH YOUR LITTLE RESCUE:
All our dogs are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, rabies, DHPP, Bordetella, Pyrantyl, nails trimmed, and dental when needed. They'll come with a basket of goodies, food, toys and a custom made harness. The adoption fee is $395, sorry no exceptions, as this covers the cost to rescue them, vet them and take care of them while in our rescue. It also helps towards the care of other doxies that come with huge vet or dental bills or need extensive behavioral training.
