My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mocha is the most gorgeous and sweet girl in the whole world!! She loves everyone and is goofy and playful. Mocha is a Catahoula leopard dog mix, and she could even have some Great Dane in her because she is a pretty large girl for just being born in January 2014. She had a rough start in life. As just a small puppy she was thrown out a car window on the Indian Reservation and her left hind leg was shattered. Luckily an officer out there found her and called us. Mocha had extensive surgery to pin her leg back together and months of physical therapy. Now she walks, runs, jumps, swims and plays like a maniac with her other doggy friends! However, she does have a limp and her leg will never be perfect. We do not anticipate her having any long-term problems, but there is a slight chance she may need FHO surgery sometime down the road, as the thigh bone does not articulate with the hip properly. The veterinarian says the surgery will only be necessary if the leg causes her pain, and so far she has no problems. Mocha is incredibly smart! She is house-trained and crate-trained. She is well socialized with children and other dogs. She hasn't been around cats, but I cannot imagine her having issues with them. Mocha is incredibly good-natured! She is a big baby and does like to sleep in the bed at night. She will probably be about 80 lbs when she is full grown, and she is full of energy, so a nice yard is a must! Mocha also LOVES other dogs, so we will only consider a home with at least one other dog. Mocha's adoption fee is $250, and includes spay, microchip, rabies and DAPP vaccinations. If you are interested in meeting Mocha, please contact Delon.Washo@asu.edu or text 602-295-4518.

AZ Prussian Snailhound Dog Rescue would like to remind everyone that dogs and puppies are a big commitment and require a lot of attention. They often exhibit undesirable behaviors such as chewing and digging. Of course they also are a lot of fun and are very lovable too. When choosing a puppy/dog please consider how much time you will be able to spend training and socializing your new friend.
