Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Fletch got lucky one day. Real lucky. Somehow on that last day of June 2014 Fletch managed to break the chain that was keeping him tied to a life that he needed to get out of. He drug that chain into the front yard of a sympathetic animal lover who made a panicked call to a local rescue group begging for immediate help. The reason for the panic was that the small collar which had been placed on Fletch some time ago and then attached to that chain had grown into his neck. Imbedded collars are so painful for dogs and are awful to see. BUT the GOOD NEWS for Fletch is that some really good vets gave him the very best care and now, just a month later, his neck is completely healed. And he is in a foster home with 3 resident dogs and is doing great! He is a low key and quiet little young guy (he only weighs 30 lbs and is about 2 yrs old) who is soaking up any and all love and attention pointed his way. He says life is definitely good now! His gorgeous charcoal grey coat has been cut pretty short for the summer heat in the South and even with a basic buzz cut he is still one handsome guy. Although he has no symptoms (no coughing, etc), Fletch has tested positive for heart worms and has already started the treatment process. Fletch would love a home in a cooler climate -- and transportation to New England from Jackson, MS can be easily arranged. He is ready to be your new best friend!
