Betty's Story...
Take Betty out for a walk, and you'll know she's hound! This agile athlete loves to be in the great outdoors, and whether she's carefully sniffing and exploring, or whether she's running at full tilt, it's easy to see that Betty is having the time of her life.

This energetic and inquisitive, little pup is only about a year old, and she recently weighed in at a fit and trim 30 pounds. Betty doesn't want to spend all her time alone in a yard though! This super friendly girl likes to spend time with friends too, both human and canine. And after getting some vigorous exercise, Betty also enjoys having a chance to kick-back and relax indoors, with a few of her favorite people.

This bright-eyed Beagle-mix is eager to start her new life, with her new forever family. So, if you have a fenced yard, and also some room on the couch and in your heart, then why not meet Betty at the FOTA Adoption House, today? She'll be waiting for you!

Please text Betty's foster mom at 225-773-9520. if you would like more information about meeting or adopting this happy, little hound.

All dogs adopted through Friends of the Animals are current on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed or neutered prior to adoption. For more information about FOTA or to make a donation, please visit http://www.friendsoftheanimalsbr.org/.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Betty, a Baton Rouge Beagle/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Beagle/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Beagle/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
