Meet the lovely Maggie who is looking for a forever home. Maggie has had a bit of a rough go of it the past few months. She was abandoned by her original owner at a house with two other dogs and three cats. Concerned neighbors contacted rescue groups when they realized the animals had been left all alone to fend for themselves. Needless to say, Maggie was not in the greatest of shape when she first came to Cedar Farm. She was matted and had lots of fleas and was a bit wary of her new circumstances. Maggie’s true colors are showing now that she feels more confident and cared for. She is an affectionate little lap dog and has a bit of a spunky side too. After a good grooming, bath and flea treatment she sure looks and feels better too! Maggie has been spayed and brought up to date on all of her shots. She is also microchipped. She has tested negative for heartworms and is on monthly preventatives for heartworms, fleas and ticks. Maggie is crate-trained, housebroken and walks very well on lead. She does great with our cats and enjoys other dogs. We have not seen her with children but believe she would do fine with them. Maggie is 3 years old and weighs 15 lbs. After you have submitted the form call 336.251.8877 to set up a time to visit at our adoption center in downtown Mocksville. We are at the adoption center by appointment only and can generally schedule meetings for between the hours of noon and 4 pm or after 7 pm any day of the week holidays included.
