Frida's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Frida's Story...
Frida was part of a huge hoarding situation in Acadia parish. They were an elderly couple. The environment was filthy. The dogs weren't socialized at all. They all went to Acadia Parish Animal Control. We pulled four. Frida is ~4 years old. We could hardly touch her when we first got her. She's made such huge progress. She jumps from the ground into your arms to be held. She has to sleep in the bed with you. She's been spayed. She is heartworm positive and is in the middle of her heartworm treatment currently. She is up to date on shots, heartworm prevention, and flea prevention. She had an exam and negative fecal. Her adoption fee is $100. She's 8 lbs and we think a chiweenie. If you are interested in Frida, please email animalhelperneworleans@gmail.com Frida is located in New Orleans, LA, but we adopt all over the United States.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Frida, a New Orleans Dachshund/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Chihuahua for sale in New Orleans, or seeking a Dachshund/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in New Orleans.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Orleans already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Orleans breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Chihuahua breeders who help with Dachshund/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Orleans paves the way for another one to be saved.
