My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Oh my, meet Rusty. Possibly the most handsome Red - tri Australian Shepherd! Rusty was one of 41 Australian Shepherds surrendered to the Humane Society of Missouri (HSMO) by a breeder. Once surrendered, the HSMO contacted our rescue, ASRM, and asked for assistance. All of these fur babies came in malnourished, matted and scared of everything. Rusty got his first chance to experience the world with his foster family and has taken well to his new world, he loves to play with other dogs, doesn't mind kitties and even enjoys watching his foster mom with the horses. Rusty is a little shy at first but warms up quickly. He loves to be doted on while being brushed, and enjoys snuggling and being loved on. Rusty likes to go for car rides and will jump up into the car for a ride-along anytime. He is smart and handsome, what better combination? This special boy is looking for his forever home that will continue teaching him that the world is a good place with tons of positive encouragement. Would you like to meet Rusty? All you need to do is fill out our adoption application

Rusty is neutered, microchipped and up to date on all of his shots. He is located in southwest Minnesota. He is currently taking heartworm and flea and tick preventatives. Rusty is good with other dogs and kitties. He is also crate trained. We recommend children over 12yrs. He weighs 45 pounds and is a medium energy boy. ASRM recommends a fenced yard for Rusty. Rusty is 5 years young. Complete the adoption application at www.aussierescuemidwest.org
