Little Willie sat in a shelter for a month hoping that his family would come take him home. When it was clear no one was coming for him, the shelter staff contacted ESRA saying they had a sad little boy there that needed our help. What they didn't tell us — or maybe what Willie had kept to himself and hadn't told anyone — was that Willie was in a great deal of pain.
Once Willie was in our foster program and in a vet's care, his secret was found out and we have welcomed Willie not only to ESRA but to our Special Needs program! Click on the Special Needs heart icon to read about Willie's problem and help us raise the funds to promise another precious Springer a hopeful future!
In the shelter, Willie was nervous and unhappy — cowering in the corner of his kennel most of the time. Once in foster care, his personality changed almost overnight — he's happy, he's friendly, he's eager to please, and he's a real sweetheart! He's already neutered and up to date on all his shots.
He has healed from his surgeries and is good as new. He is now ready to find his forever home.
