My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello there new friends! My name is Paisley. I am about 1 year old and I weigh about 35 lbs.
I was brought in to the pound from the East Liverpool area.
I had been running (after apparently being abandoned) for about 3 weeks. Some of the people in the neighborhood were kind to me and would take me in and feed me and show me some love, but others weren't so kind. Some of them yelled at me, chased me away, threw things at me and even threatened that they would shoot me. They said I was being mean, but I was so afraid they were going to hurt me that I felt like I had to defend myself.
The pound tried very hard to catch me the whole time I was loose but I was scared so I wouldn't come to them. They even tried to set a big box trap to try to catch me, but I outsmarted them... I would go in and eat the yummy food then get right back out of it. Finally, one of the people from the neighborhood caught me. Some of the kids from the neighborhood put me on a leash and walked me all around and played with me. I sure did like those kids! They were nice to me and more my size. I am a just a tiny little thing! Anyhow, the kids who found me told me their parents said they weren't able to keep me and so they had to bring me here to the pound where I can find a family to love me.
I am a very sweet and very loving little girl.
I was fearful at first when I came in to the pound, but now I have blossomed in to a happy, playful little girl. I love to go for walk and I also love when I get to spend time in the office with the people and the other dogs... speaking of dogs, I get along well with them and I like to play.
If you're looking for a sweet dog to add to your family, please consider adopting me!
**UPDATE** I was adopted for a very short period of time, but was returned because I have a high prey drive and try to chase cats, squirrels, birds, etc. and I got very over stimulated.

I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.

PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER JULY 27, 2014.
HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.

MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY SPAY SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.

THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
