Hi there. My name is Baxter. I am about 10 months old and I weigh about 15 lbs.
I was found as a stray by the workers at the jail, which is right near the pound. They said the workers brought me over and put me in a kennel, but I beat them back to the jail! One of the other dogs had dug a hole under the gate panel, through which I quickly escaped. It is the pound's guess that I was possibly dropped off at the pound after hours, more than likely left in the play area and that I went under the gates as they are high enough for me to have went right under them.
I am here now at the pound awaiting my new family.
I am a beautiful boy with the most adorable ears and a bubbly personality to match my outer beauty. I am very sweet and playful.
I LOVE being held and cuddled. I love being on laps! I am an exceptionally good cuddler if I do say so myself.
I am also great with other dogs! I am very happy-go-lucky and would be a great playmate for another playful dog.

I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.
PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER JULY 31, 2014.
HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.
MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY NEUTER SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.
THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
