Meet Lexi!
This big beauty came to the shelter in Crescent City, California as a stray, and is now looking for her forever home!
Lexi is a wonderful big girl who needs a family who can properly provide for her. Great Danes need a little more care than most dogs not just because of their size, but because they are more prone to certain things such as bloat and arthritis. Lexi needs not only a family who can provide this for her, but it looks as if Lexi has some skin issues and will need a high quality grain free diet to clear up her skin issues.
At the shelter Lexi has been a complete gentle giant. She walks calmly on the leash and can be playful when the mood strikes! She has not been out with other dogs yet but looks curious and may do well with another calm and gentle dog in the home. We don’t know too much about her yet, but so far Lexi has been a completely wonderful girl and she deserves a loving home!

Born Again Pit Bull Rescue regularly works with the wonderful people at the Del Norte County Animal Control located out in rural Crescent City, CA (a tiny coastal city on the OR/CA border). They have a very small shelter with small indoor 3x6 kennel runs, low foot traffic, odd adoption viewing hours and it rains a lot which means the dogs can’t come outside and play.
We want you to see some really great dogs that they have in their care--it's just a 5-hour drive from Portland to adopt your new BFF! *Please note that occasionally there are volunteers who can assist with transporting the dog from the shelter to Grants Pass/Eugene/Salem/Portland *
Del Norte County Animal Control is located in Crescent City, CA. They are open Monday – Friday from 8am to 5pm. They are closed Saturday and Sunday.
