My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, I'm MAX! I'm a small, standard black & tan male Dachshund, 3.5 years old. I weigh only 20 lbs, and I look and feel great. I'm up to date on all my shots (rabies, bordetella, dhpp). I will make a great companion for a calm adult household but would not like a home with children.

I love to travel and do fun things - car rides, hiking, going to park and just playing with my human. I love to play fetch with squeaky balls. My most favorite thing is taking warm showers to get cleaned up and snuggle up close when it's time to sleep.

I am very loyal and protective of my owners and will let you know if someone is at the door. I do ok with other dogs as long as they don't try to bully me. I have a couple of small scars on my neck and left rear where another dog tried to attack me but I held my own just fine.
Because of this, I prefer not to be touched in that one area, just so you know. Otherwise, I am the best and most beautiful dog around - Please come see for yourself and maybe you can take me home.
