Buster is a special dog who has found himself at the shelter due to the tragic health circumstances of his owner. He must have been very bonded with this person, as he spent his first week in a palpable state of panic and sadness. Thanks to the kind attention of staff and volunteers, Buster is getting used to the shelter routine and making the best of his circumstances. To say that he is eager to please and connect would be an understatement -- Buster is a "what can I do for you ma'am" type of dog, who gives great eye contact and responds very well to all verbal cues. He is a well-mannered, polite boy who walks nicely on leash and he is no slowpoke either -- he walks at a good, brisk pace without pulling.
Buster is young at heart and loves toys, especially rope toys, and enjoys playing fetch. If you throw the toy, he will chase it down, return quickly, and drop it at your feet every time. Buster has been introduced to several large and small dogs at the shelter and has done well with all of them. He also passed his cat test with flying colors.
Buster is a sweet, handsome boy who has known and lost the comforts of a warm, loving home. He has so much life to live and love to give. We are eager to see Buster back in the home environment he deserves as soon as possible. Come meet this friendly gentleman today!
