My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lanny was in the shelter for two months. He was so shy that when people came by he would hide in the back of his cage so his prospects for adoption were slim. Now that he has been out of the shelter a while his sweet personality is shining through. He is affectionate, curious, obedient and super friendly! He is fine with other dogs but he is still a little scared of men. He walks well on a leash. Lanny is uncomfortable being handled and is not happy about riding in cars and should be crated before a ride. His foster crates him when she takes a shower because he gets a little anxious! He has been known to nip when handled incorrectly. He is struggling also with his crate training. For this reason, we recommend an experienced adopter and that his forever home not have children or cats. Lanny is quite possessive of his foster. Lanny is currently living in a busy neighborhood with lots of stimuli and he is suffering because of it. When he is exposed to cars and people on his walk he becomes so anxious he cannot concentrate on going potty. He needs a quiet neighborhood and a very patient family. He is a Spaniel/Pomeranian/Long haired chi mix; 2 years old and all of 9 lbs!
