We're happy to welcome this handsome young boy into ESRA's care. A classic field-bred Springer, Trigger is very much a companion dog. He's loving, intelligent, and eager to please. He will follow you from room to room, and he craves lots of attention. Trigger's energy level is manageable with a daily walk or run, and he will certainly enjoy this outdoor time with his family.
Trigger is energetic, and he delights in chasing his tennis balls and Frisbees. He will follow you to the ends of the earth if you have a ball in your hand! The only thing better than fetch, in Trigger's opinion, is swimming. He absolutely loves the water. You can expect to hear a "splash" wherever he is near a lake, a puddle, a pond, or a stream.
Trigger will be a great family dog as long as the children in the family are old enough so that he won't be able to knock them down, as he does tend to be exuberant in his greetings. Trigger would benefit from a positive reinforcement method such as clicker training to help him learn not jump up. He is very good with other dogs, and he wouldn't mind having a canine brother or sister in his Forever Home.
Trigger has good manners, and he knows basic commands. He doesn't run away but rather sticks around in the yard, and he is very reliable in coming when his name is called. He has earned free rein in the house while his foster family is away. Trigger likes to sleep in bed or on the floor; he's just happy to be loved! He is also completely housetrained.
If you're looking for an energetic, playful companion and have the time to invest in training this delightful guy, then Trigger is perfect for you! In exchange for your loyalty and love, he promises to bring you many squeaky toys and share his happy-go-lucky attitude. Whoever is lucky enough to adopt Trigger will have a lifelong, dedicated companion who will make you smile every single day!
