Rockie is equal parts fun, energy, and mischief! This puppy is learning all about what it means to be a dog. He is smart and obedient, but you had better keep your eye on him. He is still learning that tables aren't for lounging, shoes aren't for chewing, and toilet paper isn't for decorating.
If you catch him in the act, Rockie is good about stopping whatever he's not supposed to be doing or dropping whatever he isn't supposed to have. Luckily, his attention span isn't very long, so soon after, he's on to the next thing he notices.
This young guy likes to be where his people are. He'll follow them anywhere around the house. He can leap short staircases in one bound, and sometimes his legs can't catch up to his go-go-go personality. This makes Rockie fun to watch and fun to have around. He doesn't have a care in the world, and he shows it!
Rockie is good in a crate when his foster parents are away during the day. He sleeps through the night, and he is almost fully housetrained. Rockie will sit for a treat, although it takes all his effort to keep from jumping up and grabbing it! His foster family is working with him to reinforce this good behavior.
Rockie interacts well with his foster siblings, and he is learning to read their canine cues about whether playtime is in the cards. And oh, what a snuggler! This little guy will get right up in your lap and give free kisses. His tail looks like a hummingbird's wings when he's happy.
If you are ready for a bundle of fun, as well as some training work, contact Rockie's case managers to discuss this handsome young pup.
Please note that an approved adoption application is the first step in a more thorough interview process that is designed to match each dog to exactly the right family, and that the final decision rests with the dog's case manager.
Please read the Adoption FAQ and get an Adoption Application approved before inquiring about Rockie.
