Dewey's Story...
Name: Dewey
Color: Orange Tabby
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Gender: Male
Age: 4 Months
This adorable boy is Dewey and he is looking for his loving forever home. Cats can live to be 15-20 years of age so he is really looking for someone who is in it for the long haul.
Big fan of: Like most kittens, Dewey is going to need tons of toys, love, and stimulation to be happy. He is a bit shy at first but quickly warms up and he loves to curl up on your lap where he can get lots of attention.
Dream Home: Dewey would like to go to a home with his brother Marshmallow or another feline who can show him the ropes. A cat-savvy dog would be alright by him as long as it knows not to chase him. Children are also likely okay as long as they are old enough to know not to play too rough with his little body.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dewey, a Bellingham Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
