~ABOUT ME~
Hey everyone! I'm Hurley! I am a playful, outgoing, fun-loving boy who is new to POET. I am very smart, know how to sit and come on command. I am good with other dogs and kids, but can be a bit jumpy since I'm still a pup. I haven't been officially cat tested yet, but did meet a kitty at the vet's office. I was very interested and wanted to play, but did not appear to want to hurt her at all. Since I'm the new guy, my POET peeps are still getting to know me. My bio will be updated very soon.

If you would like to adopt me please complete an application online at www.poetanimalrescue.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hurley, a Garden City Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Garden City, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Garden City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Garden City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Garden City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Garden City paves the way for another one to be saved.
