My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING: Charlotte Cocker Rescue has agreed to help find a home for this very pretty cocker girl. Humba is still in the care of her owner until we can find her a new forever loving home. She was adopted 6 years ago from Annie's Rescued Friends, a local NC rescue along with another cocker girl (Thande). The owner's are now retired. This family contacted us to help them find these two sweet girls a loving home. They can be adopted out separately or together. You can also read Thande's bio too.

Urgent, Needs a Home ASAP! Humba is a very nice cocker girl looking for a new forever home. On July 10th of 2008 she and Thande were adopted to a wonderful family with kids. They have both had a great life, been well taken care of and very loved. Recently, the husband re-married and these two girls now need to find new homes due to the busy activity level of the household. They need more attention, love and one on one quality time with a new owner. You can also read Thande's story to find out more about her.

Humba, born April of 2005 is a white, spayed cocker spaniel girl, 9 years old. She is a very timid, active dog, and will bark when she is frightened or when people come to the door. She would be a good fit for someone who is home a lot as she is happy to just hang out around the house, or maybe with an elderly couple who would love to spend quality time with a best friend and companion. She has been in our home for 6 years. Humba means (go well) in Tswana, a language spoken in the northern part of South Africa. She is a mature lady, loves to sit next to you and enjoys being petted and loved. She prefers life as an indoor dog and is house trained. She enjoys the outdoors while on walks. She is a big sniffer with an excellent sense of smell, so any food left around, she goes for it. She is in good health and has no significant health issues todate. She is sweet natured, a faithful companion and very loyal. She has always been a bit skittish, will notice if furniture has been moved.......and appreciates being treated with dignity and respect. She can be adopted out separately to a loving home that is right for her or with Thande. She is dog social. There will be an adoption fee of $200 for this dog. This is to make sure that she gets a great home.

If you are interested in adopting Humba or maybe you would like to adopt both Humba and Thande, please send an email message to: larrydonnacarp@aol.com for an adoption application so that you can be approved. Charlotte Cocker Rescue will then share this information with the owner.
There is an adoption fee of $200 for each cocker girl. This is to make sure that they get the loving home(s) that they deserve.
