Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We have a 10 year old tortoise shell cat named Mria that is in need of a new home. If you are interested and able to give a home to a special-needs cat, please consider Mria.
Mria’s owner has had health problems that have required multiple hospitalizations and she has been in a nursing facility for the past year. It was the owner’s hope that she would get well enough to transition to an Assisted Living facility and have Mria with her. However, that is no longer an option.
Mria has been living alone in the owner’s house. She has been daily cared for by several people, but none of them is able to take Mria as a pet. The house needs to be sold, but Mria needs to find a home first.
The owner does not want Mria sent to a shelter where she will be in a crate/cage. She was boarded during one of her owner's surgeries and Mria had a very difficult time adjusting. Mria stopped eating and nearly died. We have spent the last several months trying many different agencies that would not put her in a crate/cage, but we have not been successful in finding a home for her.
Mria has never been around children or other cats or dogs so we really do not know how that situation would work out. We feel she should probably be an only pet to the right person. She is also an inside only cat and has never been outside except in her carrier to go to the vet.
She is a loving cat but has been stressed living alone. When she gets stressed, she develops a mouth ulcer. She is currently being treated for this condition. She has digestive problems (again due to stress) and is on Hill’s I/D prescription cat food.
Mria’s owner has agreed to give a donation to offset the cost of food and vet bills for Mria.
