Hi there. My name is Bernice. I am about 8 months old and I weigh about 35 lbs.
After finding out where my friend (Sweetie, a skinny dog who got hit by a car) the pound did a follow up at the place I lived in an attempt to make contact with our owner.
I was seized from my home along with 3 other dogs and 4 puppies. After some investigating, they discovered our owners would leave us all alone, tied up or in pens, for several days at a time. They were only feeding and watering us when they were home and we were left to fend for ourselves the rest of the time.
I am a super sweet and loving girl.
I love people and I get along well with the other dogs here at the pound. I even get to stay in the same kennel as by brother Burt.
I have been kept outside so far, so I will need to be housebroken.
I am learning to walk on a leash and I am doing well.

I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.
PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER AUGUST 3, 2014.
HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.
MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY SPAY SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.
THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
