These dogs are being fostered in Dallas, Texas and must be adopted within the Dallas, North Central Texas or Oklahoma City area.
NAME: Midnight and Misty
GENDER: Females (Spayed)
AGE: About 6 years
WEIGHT: Each is about 4.5 pounds
DOGS/CATS: Great with other small and large dogs, unsure with cats
CHILDREN: Due to their small size, best to be adopted into an all adult home
We would like to introduce you to two lovely long haired sisters, Midnight and Misty. Sadly, Midnight and Misty's human has passed away. CRT has agreed to bring these two beautiful little girls into our program and help them find a forever home.
These two wonderful girls are sisters and have lived together their entire lives. We would like to keep them together when they get adopted so they can live "happily ever after" together. Both Midnight and Misty are super sweet. They are also very easy to have around. So if you are interested but not sure about taking two versus one, these two would be an easy pair to have. (Note: we are open to adopting them separately, so please inquire if you are interested in one of the two).
Misty is Miss Social with a very outgoing personality. And we have discovered her ulterior motive. She is looking for the endless belly rub! When everyone is on the couch watching TV, the first thing she does is flip over to expose the belly and beg you to rub her. And when her foster Mom is getting ready for work in the morning, Misty is right there pawing at her feet for a belly rub. Hey - what girl would turn down a massage?! Misty enjoys love and attention from you. She is a beautiful grey / "blue" color.
Midnight is the quieter girl and is more reserved. She will shy away from alot of activity and is easily discouraged from seeking attention if she feels she is having to compete for it. She will just politely remove herself from the situation and find a quiet spot to lay down. She has beautiful black, tan and white coloring, thus her name of Midnight! Midnight has a cute little tongue that sometimes sticks out on one side. This is due to some missing teeth (both girls were born with less teeth than normal). It is actually adorable.
These girls enjoy a warm lap or a sunny day to just relax. They rarely bark and don't require much room. Both Midnight and Misty get along great with the small dogs and large dogs in their foster home. They are both potty trained (Midnight prefers pee pee pads and Misty is great about going outside in the grass). They are mature and very healthy. Their biggest need in the long run will be maintaining the teeth they currently have with dentals and proper diet. Due to their tiny size they need to be in an all adult home. They are definitely good candidates for apartment life provided they are on the first floor or can be carried down stairs.
Both Midnight and Misty are spayed, micro chipped, up-to-date on shots, HW negative and on heartworm prevention. They are ready to join a loving family - could that family be yours?
These dogs are a CRT rescue. Reference checks, adoption contract and $200 adoption fee per dog ($400 total) required.
