"I Love Lucy" .... and you will too! This little girl was named after Lucille Ball because she is ALWAYS happy and makes her family smile every moment of every day! Yes - she is perfectly named!

Lucy was found wandering lost in a Dallas neighborhood. When her family could not be located, CRT agreed to take her into our program and help her find a forever home. She has fit in perfectly, and is going to be a welcomed member to a special family.

Lucy has a bubbly personality. She is happy and friendly every moment of every day. With her floppy ears and her big smile, it is as if she is saying "hello world" all the time. Lucy gets along great with the other small dogs in her foster home. She loves to play with them, hang around with them, and chase squirrels in the yard. She also loves to lay in the sun and enjoy the day!

Lucy is also really smart. She is completely potty trained (she has not had one accident in her foster home!). She knows how to go to the door to tell you she needs to go outside and potty. If you are not around, she will use pee pee pads. She also taught herself to use the doggie steps in her foster home to climb up on the bed and on furniture. Lucy is also crate trained, but honestly, she would much rather sleep in bed with you at night. She so badly wants to be part of your family - even when you are sleeping!

Lucy loves to be around her humans. Every night, she climbs up on her foster Daddy's lap and watches TV with him. When her foster Mom is working in her office, there is little Lucy laying in a doggy bed by her feet - just to be near. Lucy loves to meet you at the door each evening and is super excited to see you. She gives snuggles and kisses every night. This is the most affectionate little girl we have ever fostered.

Lucy loves to eat! Her perfect weight is probably around 9 pounds, but right now she is at 11. So she is on a diet. No girl likes to go on a diet, but this adorable girl has taken it in stride. She likes her diet food and wags her tail at meal time to thank you for your thoughtfulness as you get it ready for her! Lucy has beautiful coloring. She is a long haired Chihuahua, and her fur is very light tan. It almost looks white. Her features are stunning.

You will notice that Lucy is missting her left eye. We have no idea what happened, as she came to us this way. But it definitely does not bother her. And it fits into her personality perfectly - it as if she is winking at you. We have also noticed that she has incredible hearing. She alerts at noises that our other Chihuahuas don't seem to hear. We think she has developed her hearing as an offset to reduced vision. She is not a big barker, but she will let you know if she percieves there is danger around.

Lucy's foster parents can't say enough good things about this little girl. She has been the best foster they have ever had. We know some family is going to be so perfect for her. And we hope to find that family soon! This girl will light up your life with love and happiness.

Lucy is spayed, micro chipped, up-to-date on shots, HW negative and on heartworm prevention. She is ready to join a loving family - could that family be yours?
