Pickles's Story...
Pickles is a rambunctious, young American Bulldog. He's a very active and friendly boy that loves to chase your feet. Pickles knows how to sit for his treats, but will need an experienced owner or someone willing to commit to him and go through obedience training with him. He's a great dog, but just needs some structure. PLEASE REFER TO LOG # 115 WHEN INQUIRING ABOUT PICKLES. For more current information on the availability of an animal, please call Animal Control (401) 243-6040 between 11 - 3. Please refer to animals by their log number rather than their name. You must go to the shelter to arrange an adoption in person. No adoptions can be arranged over the phone or by Internet. Shelter hours are Monday - Saturday, 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM - closed holidays.

Act quickly to adopt Pickles. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pickles, a Providence American Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Bulldog for sale in Providence, or seeking a American Bulldog dog from a breeder in Providence.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Providence already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Providence breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Bulldog breeders who help with American Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Providence paves the way for another one to be saved.
