Well, hello there! My name is Miss Clara and my rescue believes I am a long-haired Chihuahua. I used to belong to a single woman who owned me my whole life but fell on bad times and surrendered me to the local vet. I am young-around 2 years old, and I love to play with squeaky toys, go on walks and hang out with doggie friends my own size.

I am not what you would call a social butterfly right now because I lived a solitary life style with my owner who did not socialize me. I am however on my way to learning how to socialize like a true southern belle. I attend day training with local trainers every week, and my rescue friends take me to different peoples houses to start getting me used to being "out and about" I need an owner who understands that I am a work in progress...but really, aren't we all? It will take me time to warm up and trust you, but if your are calm and patient and let me take things slowly-and come with a pocket full of cheese and chicken- you'll win me over. I am looking for an owner who can give me guidance and assure me that the world is not a scary place. And then you will smile, when you see my loving personality come through!
