Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We are looking for the best home ever for one of our favorite dogs. ACE had been just a free roaming dog in town and was picked up by the local animal control officer. Ace can appear intimidating at first meeting, but nothing could be further from the truth. He is just a happy go lucky guy who just enjoys being around people. He has been tested with men, children, cats and kittens, and multiple dogs including puppies and dogs of all breeds and sizes. He is just a playmate to them all. Ace does great off leash and will stay close by you most of the time. If he gets a little too inquisitive and gets out of sight, he is quickly back at your side with a whistle or call of his name. He is learning to fetch and to shake. He loves to run and play and explore so he would be a great camping companion. He loves to give you kisses and is quite affectionate. But mostly, he just seems very grateful and appreciative for just being close by and enjoying your company. He is truly one of the best dogs we have had at our rescue. We understand how the Pit Bull in him is a turn off and a strike against him. But if you are looking for an incredibly friendly dog who will quickly steal your heart, then look no further. You have found him in ACE.
Ace is one of the most unusual and uniquely beautiful dogs I have seen in awhile. He has this absolutely gorgeous coat in browns and almost a silvery look making the overall coat have a sable look to it. It is very soft and relatively short hair and doesn't shed much at all.
Ace was picked up locally by our animal control officer. Ace was just hanging around a community grocery store. Appeared very friendly, but in need of a home. The store owner called to have him picked up and that's how we met Ace. Ace appears to be a Lab/shepherd mix. Full grown at his 50 lbs. As friendly and playful as a new puppy. He has been kenneled with dogs his size and with even puppies and he is as gentle and playful as can be. Has recently been moved to foster care and is learning how to sit and to shake and doing quite well.
I envision Ace as being a perfect dog for a single guy looking for a running/walking partner to take to the dog park with him. Ace just has that look about him of being a loyal companion to someone with an active lifestyle. Handsome dog! Lots more photos available.
