Lexi's Story...
Our sweet and happy Lexi! She came to us overweight but has now lost 18 pounds and she is even more active with the weight off. Lexi isn't a fan of the shiny and slippery wood floors in her foster home but she's getting the hang of it. Lexi enjoys going to the dog park with her foster sister and she is starting to get in the water more but would prefer to wander around and say hi to all the humans. If there is a little dog though she will follow it around as Lexi absolutely LOVES small dogs! Lexi is a loving and very personable dog that would fill the hearts of anyone who will just rub her ears.

If you are interested in this dog, please fill out an application at www.DLRRphoenix.org. Someone will call to schedule a home visit so you can become an approved adopter. Also, visit our wonderful Facebook page at www.facebook/desertlab. Thanks!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lexi, a Phoenix Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
