Here's what the humans have to say about me:
PEARL is a 2 year old black spayed female Lab who weighs 46 pounds (needs to gain about 5-7 lbs). She's pretty calm for her age and walks well on leash. She is good with other dogs. Pearl comes from a rural area and would probably not do well living in a city, an apartment/condo, or a busy neighborhood. She's approved for kids aged 10+.
Update (8/17): Pearl is absolutely sweet and incredibly calm for a two year old. She crates well but she was much happier to sleep on a dog bed. She is well behaved and walks beautifully on a leash. Pearl also loves loving with her humans, and she will come up to you and sort of put her paws on you almost to "hug" you. She likes toys and tennis balls, on her own terms. She's not going to run all the way across the yard to fetch one, but might jog a few feet, or pick one up that she comes upon while exploring. She's been good with soft toys and tennis balls but prefers not to share her bones. She is underweight and should be fed separately from other dogs. She's eating three times a day and gaining weight. She prefers low key dogs and to meet them slowly. A dog park setting would be overwhelming for her.
This dog is available for adoption from Lab Rescue LRCP. The rescue has around 50 dogs available for adoption.
If you are interested in adopting, please visit www.lab-rescue.org and complete an adoption application. Within a few days of submitting an application you will hear from an Adoption Coordinator who will guide you through the adoption process.
