Remote northern communities are not safe places for stray dogs. Finding food is a daily struggle and they are often rounded up and shot to control their population, so we always try our best to help them out when we are asked. Jasmine was a surprise addition to a flight headed to Montreal, but there was room on the plane and in our foster's heart so we were able to rescue her. She is young, about a year old, and is a quiet girl. Jasmine is a little unsure when meeting new people but warms up when she knows that no harm will come to her. A nice size at about 45 pounds, she will do well in a quiet home with older children or just adults and perhaps another dog. She is of mixed heritage but looks like a miniature Newfoundland dog. Please complete an adoption questionnaire on our website if you are interested in Jasmine.
