Lil's Story...
Lil is one of six puppies born on June 11 to Piper, a 40-pound Husky who was rescued from a northern community and flown to Montreal to Kiko's care. All six puppies are being lovingly nurtured in the foster home where they were born, and are all healthy, playful and outgoing. The father is unknown so we are unsure how big they will get, but will likely be about the same weight as their mother. Lil is mostly black with some lovely strategically placed white markings. Puppies are a lot of work and cannot be left alone for long periods of time, so please ensure your lifestyle can support their requirements. They are being housetrained and it has been coming along nicely. Those not adopted in the next few weeks will be at the Beaconsfield Pet Fair on September 6. All the puppies have been examined by a vet and received deworming treatment, and will be vaccinated and sterilized this week. If you are interested in adopting one of Piper's puppies, please complete an online questionnaire on our website.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lil, a Rigaud Husky/Retriever (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky/Retriever (Unknown Type) for sale in Rigaud, or seeking a Husky/Retriever (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Rigaud.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rigaud already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rigaud breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky/Retriever (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Husky/Retriever (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rigaud paves the way for another one to be saved.
