My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

BEAR is a 6 year old black neutered male Lab who weighs 65 pounds. He's a very sweet boy once he gets to know you and gives big sloppy kisses. He pulls on leash so we are working on that. He is totally housebroken. He has never been crated but does not need it. Bear is a wonderful rider and knows a lot of commands and is very eager to please. He is unique in that he has one blue eye. He's approved for kids aged 10+. More info on him soon!

See Bear's blue eye ~ It is hard to capture in pictures but check out his YouTube video:

Update (8/22): Bear-y Tales: Hi everyone! Can I say I'm starting to feel really good. Foster Mom says my ribs are filling in and my coat is getting nice and shiny. I have completely relaxed and Reese, my labbie foster sister, and I are starting to do play zoomies outside. I'm really comfortable inside so my preference is to be inside with the people! Now today a man came by to check the fence and I wasn't scared at all. I actually came up to him to get petted. Foster Mom was happy to see this since 5 days ago I was petrified to even meet my foster parents! Life is good in Lynchburg and the food is so yummy! Love, Bear

Update (8/20): Bear-y Tales: Howdy y'all!!! Today had been great! Foster Mom made some homemade chicken noodle soup for Foster Dad while she's away this coming weekend. You know what that meant for us dogs? Yeppers, we got some yummy cooked chicken breast and boy did I like it. Wet have a system here that we have to all sit and patiently wait for our bites. First, we had some carrots. I liked those but my nose kept telling me there was something better. Reese and Belle also helped me understand what's going on. (Oh, did I forget to mention that were are all friends now? Foster Mom says my boy brain is getting under control.) But back to the soup, Foster Mom had some moist white chicken in her hands and she feed it to us. I really used my manners and took it with a very gentle mouth. You know they say that you shouldn't bite the hand that feeds you.

I have met Autumn, the cat. She hisses at me right now. I guess because the first time I saw her, I chased her. I didn't want to hurt her but I guess she didn't know that. I just got real excited and I poked her with my nose. Foster Mom says that she is going to introduce us again. Hopefully I can hold back my excitement and be a good boy.

Well, I'm going to head outside for a bit with Reese and then come in to have dinner.
Love, Bear (Foster Mom calls me her blue eyed handsome boy! )
