I am already spayed and up to date with shots.

Alba's Story...
I'm a sweet, affectionate, and playful young lady. Aren't my eyes beautiful? I think they look like golden nuggets framed by my beautiful white coat and tabby tail. If you like petting, purrs, and paws kneading your lap, I think we have a lot in common. If you are looking for someone who is affectionate and loving, I'm the girl for you.

Alba's adoption fee is $40; she is microchipped, spayed, and up to date on vaccines.
Some of our pets are in foster care. If you are interested in a specific pet, please contact the shelter at 618-282-7387 to arrange a meeting.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Alba, a Columbia Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Columbia, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Columbia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbia paves the way for another one to be saved.
