Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Piper is an 8 week old female Labradoodle pup, or at least that's what her former owner said she is. Piper is looking for anew home because her previous owners realized they did not have the right homes for her. Piper's first owner had a 4 month old baby, and quickly learned that she had no time for a young puppy. The second owner had another dog and three cats, and when all the family pets went on strike and refused to eat, that owner sadly gave Piper up.
Here's what Piper's foster mom has to say about her (8/14/14)
She likes to be in the room with her person - not in an annoying way - just likes to be near. For example, tonight, I was working at the kitchen sink and she sat and watched me for a while and then decided to take a nap on my feet - very sweet. She has the sweetest little expressions when she looks up at you - the girls say she has a good begging face. We go on shorts walks around the cul de sac and she walks right along beside me. Today, we saw some walkers that we had seen yesterday - they had their cockapoo with them both days. She went bounding up to the people first for a scratch on the head and a belly rub and then acknowledged the dog. She’s very cute because she will sit and look at you for a few seconds when you call her and then it’s like it “clicks” that you want her to come and she comes bouncing over wagging her tail. She is really a very easy dog in general. She has her moments when she does not like to be left alone and will cry. I think she will get over that as she becomes more secure and isn’t passed around so much and of course if she were potty trained, she could just follow me around the house. I have put a soft bed in the kitchen full of toys and she loves to lay on it and quietly chew on her toys. For the most part, she is quiet and low key - and has occasional bursts of energy. When she is more energetic, we just take a little walk and she comes right back in the house and settles with her toys. In the mornings, she has been riding with me to take the girls to school. She will likes to ride in the girls laps and when the get out, she rides on the seat beside me.
Piper is adorable, loving and smart. She knows how to sit on command and is eager to learn more obedience skills, too. If you are interested in adopting Piper and have the time to train a young pup, please write us at pricelesspets4u@gmail.com
Piper is vaccinated, microchipped, spayed and taking heartworm prevention medication. Her adoption fee is $250.
