Haymitch's Story...
Meet Haymitch. He was rescued from a high kill shelter, moments before euthanization for temperament. He was terrified in the shelter! Who wouldn't be, right? He is still on the shy side, especially around men, but with people he is comfortable with, he is a snuggle muffin. He is active and playful. He lives in a foster home with other dogs and cats and does awesome. He would probably do better without super small children pulling on his tail. And certainly would benefit from being adopted to a home with a female in the house. Check out his pictures, and you can see what a happy boy he can be!

$200 fully vetted. Spayed/Neutered, shots up to date, rabies current, flea & tick preventative, heart worm preventative, heart worm negative, and Microchipped

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Haymitch, a McKinney Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in McKinney, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in McKinney.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in McKinney already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a McKinney breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in McKinney paves the way for another one to be saved.
