Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Batman! This sweet fella has big batty ears and gorgeous brown eyes that will have you at hello. Batman was originally brought to the shelter for his own protection because his owners were keeping him chained to a tree in 18 inches of rain. This guy is, understandably shy at first, but warms up quickly because he sure doesn't hold his rough past against anyone! In his temporary foster home he proved himself to be quite a happy little pup. He loves to chase his tail, chew on bones, play with tennis balls, and cuddle up to his people. Having been kept outside his whole life, he has not had formal training, but still didn't have a single accident in the house! Batman is a smart little guy and is ready to learn much more for his family!
At around a year, Batman weighs in around 40 pounds, making him the perfect size for an active family. He would be an ideal running buddy once he gains confidence or a great playmate for another dog! Batman even did well with the household cats despite their displeasure at his presence. This guy is just a sweet pup that wants to find the family he deserves!
Dogs in our program are spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and given a physical by a veterinarian prior to adoption.
