My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kona is a 1-1.5 year old child friendly hound mix, heart worm negative and at a healthy weight of 40 pounds. Her beautiful soft as velvet coat is the color of gingersnaps and nutmeg and is so sleek and shiny that it appears to be always wet. Her eyes, the color of well steeped tea, are contemplative and wise.
Kona carefully studies new people before making her shy introduction- a bowed head and soft nudge with her wet little nose. But once she realizes that she has met friend not foe, she is full tilt silly and playful, ready to agive it her all while romping, running and sharing new adventures. In her foster home, she is comfortable and compatible with the other dogs, gaining the confidence that comes from being part of a group, and is diligent in her mission to befriend the family cat.
Kona crates readily and settles down quietly while there- with a deep sigh of contentment and appreciation for the gift another day lived to fullest.
