JULIUS's Story...
OH MY GOODNESS! Julius might just be the most adorable puppy ever. He is a 3 month old dachshund/basset mix. Not sure if it's clear in the photos that he has short legs like a basset. Julius and his brother Caesar were surrendered to the animal shelter here in Tennessee. We pulled them both and now they are safe and sound in a loving foster home in Tennessee with children who give them loves of hugs and kisses. Both puppies love to cuddle. They play with one another very well and with other dogs in the foster home. Both boys sleep in a kennel at night and they do very well. They are almost house trained and they rarely have accidents in their kennel at night. These sweet little ones are looking for their new forever home. If you would like an adoption application for Julius or his brother Caesar please email Blues City Animal rescue at baversas1@gmail.com. His adoption fee of 450.00 includes his transport to the midwest, his vaccinations, deworming and travel health certificate. Please visit us and like us on facebook and THANK YOU for choosing rescue.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

JULIUS, a Waterbury Dachshund/Basset Hound puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Basset Hound for sale in Waterbury, or seeking a Dachshund/Basset Hound puppy from a breeder in Waterbury.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Waterbury already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Waterbury breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Basset Hound breeders who help with Dachshund/Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Waterbury paves the way for another one to be saved.
