Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Daisy – 2 y/o Female German Shepherd (AKC Registered). She is 110 lbs. of LOVE!!! Daisy gets along great with other dogs and is quite playful. She needs a lot of LOVE and attention. She was an “only child” for so long that she places a lot of demand on her humans for attention. She is quite protective of her humans also…but is NOT aggressive – just possessive! This is a trait of German Shepherds, so please understand that she is a true ALPHA dog.
She loves to run and play with others – and will play fetch, and chase… she is a bit cat-like in that she loves to chase a red laser light or shadows or reflections! This can also be a compulsion for some dogs – and Daisy is somewhat compulsive about this… and it is exacerbated by long periods of boredom… so keeping her exercised is a GOOD THING!
She is housebroken, crate trained, knows some commands – and is SO EXCITED to PLEASE her humans!! She is smart as a whip and listens attentively when you talk to her. She is such a happy girl and so loving that it is hoped that she will find a home that will truly be her FUREVER home!!
Ideal home – her new humans should have some experience with LARGE Dogs! It would possibly have another large dog for her to play with – probably around the same age or younger. Older children would be great – as she is a lover… but doesn’t realize she is HUGE! Someone who is active and likes to walk or play would be perfect!! ABSOLUTELY NO CATS!!!! Or other SMALL/pocket pets! Small dogs tend to find her intimidating.
Health – Daisy is healthy and well nourished… she is up to date on her shots… and is currently being treated for German Shepherd Dog Keratitis [pannus] – using eye drops, which she will need for her lifetime.
“Meet & Greets” will be by appointment only – with qualified applicants. Send an email to muttsaversrescue@gmail.com if you think Daisy would be a good fit for your family.
