Elliemae's Story...
Elliemae is a Shelter Puppy Dog:
adoption date is 3-20-08 and can be put to sleep any time after the adoption date. As of this Month, Elliemae is still at the shelter in need of rescue.

This beautiful young lady is around 1 year old, is Medium/Large in size, walks on a leash, sits when asked, she appears to be a sweet & loving young lady, happy, active, full of love & fun, pretty well mannered, playful, and is a special girl that is in need of a family to love.

Dawn gave a little test by looking in Elliemae's mouth, pulling on her ears and tail, holding her paw and giving her a little kiss and hug. Elliemae appeared to past the test with no problems. What a sweet and loving dog. Like all of our shelter dogs, we suggest a well fenced yard for Elliemae to play and be safe in. We feel she may make an outstanding wonderful family member & loving companion. If you wish, Elliemae can be tested around Dogs & Cats here at the shelter.

Act quickly to adopt Elliemae. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Elliemae, a Grass Valley Bloodhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bloodhound for sale in Grass Valley, or seeking a Bloodhound dog from a breeder in Grass Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grass Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grass Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bloodhound breeders who help with Bloodhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grass Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
