Nadine's Story...
Nadine is a pretty yellow/buff Pit Bull Terrier mix with a bunch of puppy energy. About 1 year old and 38 lbs, she is a fun girl who has behaved well with others. She can hold her ears up high, or lay them back flat, depending on where her attention lies. Don't stare too long into her beautiful golden eyes, they'll melt your heart.

The adoption process begins with an application, which is a tool the Franklin County Humane Society uses to make a good forever home match. Email us at sylviaam4@aol.com and we'll send you an application and/or answer any questions you might have.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nadine, a Metamora Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever for sale in Metamora, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Metamora.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Metamora already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Metamora breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Metamora paves the way for another one to be saved.
