Walker's Story...
Walker is an adorable 6-month-old Husky/German Shepherd mix rescued from a high-kill shelter. He loves attention and affection, is energetic and needs his walks but also enjoys cuddles at the end of the day. He can sleep in a crate or on a blanket on the floor at night with no issues. He shows his love with kisses and loves to play with other dogs as well as his foster family, including the kids. Walker knows how to sit and is mostly house trained, but he is working on letting his fosters know when he needs to go. He is also learning how to play without nipping and that his toys are for chewing. Walker is curious, but obedient and smart and waits for direction. He will do great with a family who will spend some time training and exercising with him. If you would like to give this fantastic pooch a forever home, please complete an application through our website www.wagginghearts.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Walker, a Hainesville Husky/German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Hainesville, or seeking a Husky/German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Hainesville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hainesville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hainesville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Husky/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hainesville paves the way for another one to be saved.
