Duenna is a seven-year-old, female, Chihuahua, who is so ready to take a giant step in her life ... right into the arms of her new family. She arrived at the Centre with her “sister”, Nita, another Chihuahua. Duenna and Nita know how it feels to be a much loved and pampered pet; unfortunately, their guardians who now have a young family feel they no longer have the time to devote to them. Much as Animatch would like to see these girls go together, we realize that it may not be possible. Duenna is nervous at first, so people must go slowly but within no time she is a complete cuddle bug. Hard to believe that such a wee dog is confident surrounded by many dogs; she loves playing with her little canine pals. Duenna is the whole package, even though she is a tiny one. She is friendly, sweet, and very cute. If you are looking for an affectionate dog, you can count on Duenna to come through for you. Since she weighs only 5 lbs., an adult home or one where children are older would best suit her. She loves to play and absolutely takes pure joy in going for walks. Duenna will need a home where she is not alone all day. Tiny dogs have small bladders and cannot be expected to hold for the entire day. Duenna would be forever grateful to have a forever home and will repay you with lots of tail wags and sweet doggy kisses.
