Here's what the humans have to say about me:
ROOK is a 2-1/2 year old black neutered male AKC Lab who weighs 81 pounds who's a great dog~ He's very handsome ~ when he is waiting for you to toss a toy he looks like a poster dog! Once he gets to know you he likes attention which he rewards with LabLaps, has a wonderful LabLean. He is little shy when he first meets you but fine after he knows you are okay. Loves to retrieve but is not a nut about it. He's knows sit, come, down kennel, and stay. He's house and crate trained as a puppy (he doesn't need a crate now.). Rook comes from the country and would not do well in a city environment or an apartment/condo. He's good with other dogs (formerly lived with another Lab, and played with neighbor's dog) and he's approved for kids aged 6+.
This dog is available for adoption from Lab Rescue LRCP. The rescue has around 50 dogs available for adoption.
If you are interested in adopting, please visit www.lab-rescue.org and complete an adoption application. Within a few days of submitting an application you will hear from an Adoption Coordinator who will guide you through the adoption process.
An adoption fee is charged to cover the cost of veterinary care and a house check is required.
