Instead of "Bye Felicia" say "Hi Felicia!" Sweet, sweet, adorable Felicia. She is a happy, goofy, playful and affectionate little girl despite horrendously cruel treatment she was subjected to in her past. She may take a little time getting to trust you as humans were not very kind to her previously. She has had extensive professional obedience training and is very good on a leash. She does need to be an only dog.

Being her owner will have some challenges, but they will be well worth the effort of gaining her love and trust! Once you have earned her trust she becomes an affectionate goofball extraordinaire! She is so deserving of a normal pain free life. Please help us make that a reality.

Why she is the way she is: Felicia was rescued from a dog fighting operation in Tennessee. She was extremely malnourished and emaciated and lived at the end of a massive, heavy chain for years. She had a very serious tick borne blood disease called babesia at the time but she has been treated for that and is now clear of it. Her teeth had been filed down to the roots because she was used for breeding and this prevented her from injuring the other dog. Our vet removed the ones that were badly damaged and infected, so sometimes her tongue hangs out. We think it just adds to her charm.

About Mayday Pit Bull Rescue & Advocacy

About Our Rescue Group...

Mayday Pit Bull Rescue & Advocacy is an established, entirely volunteer run, 501c3 nonprofit. We focus on dogs with extreme medical, behavioral and special needs.  We are devoted to rescuing, rehabilitating and securing placement for pit bull and pit bull mixes into responsible, permanent and loving homes. We partner with national animal welfare organizations to assist dogs from dog fighting, hoarding and other crisis/emergency situations.

We strive to educate the public about the pit bull breed in order to relieve suffering and prevent cruelty.

We advocate responsible pit bull ownership and educate the public about breed specific legislation.

Mayday Pit Bull Rescue & Advocacy is made up of a small group of volunteers based in Phoenix, Arizona, who are dedicated to improving the lives of pit bulls and re-establishing the breed as a beloved family pet.

We work directly with local Animal Care and Control shelters to rescue pit bulls from euthanasia with the goal of rehabilitation and permanent placement.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We are foster home based and do not have a primary shelter location. We believe the dogs do best when living in a home environment as members of a family.
Please email us to schedule a meeting.
