My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tia is a 2 year old brindle female with natural ears. She came to rescue because her owners were traveling too much for work. Tia has been with her foster family for a week and has adapted to their routine beautifully. She is living with two male Chihuahuas (5lbs and 8lbs), and gets along great with them, playing nicely without any aggressive behavior. Tia has not seen the cat in her foster home yet as it has been hiding, but she lived with a cat in her previous home. Her family said she was good with the cat, but would want to play with it. She has been getting along well with the older kids in the home (ages 10 and 13), but may be too active for young children, unless they are Dane savvy and are used to being stepped on by a big dog. The only accident Tia has had in her foster home was her first night there, but that was because her foster family missed her cue to go outside. She has also learned to use the doggie door. Tia is crated during the day when no one is home. She is not crazy about it and seems a little anxious when first put in, but with treats she goes in a bit easier. Tia does pull on leash when walking. She came to rescue with a prong collar, and walks better with using that, however we are working for her to walk on a leash without it. Tia has been ok with people and other dogs coming up to her. She's had multiple dogs in their yards all barking at her when we walk and it did not bother her that much. She loves the couch. She likes to take the throw pillows off and put in a pile on the floor... blankets too. She doesn't chew them up, just carries them for a minute and drops them. She does like shoes. Tia has been to a friends house to run around and play with their male beagle. They played for an hour straight, very nicely. She is fine in the car. She has an amazing personality and is just so loving. She follows me from room to room and makes herself comfortable wherever I am. She is a joy to have around.
